Warranty
1 Year Warranty Against Manufacturing Defects
We stand behind every Witness Chair.
Every Witness Chair is covered by our 1 Year Warranty against manufacturing defects under normal recreational use.
Camping and outdoor chairs are subject to wear through normal use, exposure and ageing. This Lifetime Warranty specifically covers manufacturing defects rather than deterioration resulting from normal use or the passage of time.
What is a manufacturing defect?
Manufacturing defects may include faults in the chair's frame, joints, stitching, fabric or other components that result from the way the product was manufactured.
Examples may include:
-
A structural component failing because of a manufacturing fault
-
Faulty joints, connections or fittings
-
Stitching failure resulting from a manufacturing fault
-
Fabric or components that were defective when manufactured
-
Other faults caused by defective materials or workmanship
The nature, cause and circumstances of the fault will be considered when assessing a warranty claim.
What isn't covered?
Our Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear from regular use
-
Deterioration caused by normal ageing or exposure
-
Accidental damage
-
Misuse, abuse or neglect
-
Commercial use
-
Damage caused by improper storage, cleaning or care
-
Modifications or unauthorised repairs
-
Damage caused by exceeding the chair's stated weight capacity
-
Damage caused by using the chair contrary to its intended purpose or supplied instructions
-
Loss or theft
These exclusions relate to our voluntary 1 year Warranty and do not exclude or limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
