Witness began with a simple problem our family faced every week.

Like thousands of Australian families, our weekends revolved around swimming carnivals, training sessions, sporting fields and family adventures. Along with the excitement came all the gear — sports bags, towels, drinks, snacks and chairs.

The chairs were often the biggest frustration.

They were bulky, awkward to carry and seemed to take up more room than everything else combined. Whether it was a swim meet, a day at the football, a camping trip or a family outing, we found ourselves dragging around chairs that were heavier and less practical than they needed to be.

As a family, we started looking for something better.

We wanted a chair that was lightweight enough to carry with one hand, compact enough to keep in the car and comfortable enough to sit in all day. Something practical for real families living real lives.

When we couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for, the idea for Witness was born.
Today, Witness is built around a simple philosophy: make it easier to show up, get comfortable and enjoy the moments that matter.

The name Witness reflects what these products are really about.

It’s about being there.

Witnessing your child’s first race, a personal best, a grand final, a weekend adventure or simply spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Because the best memories aren’t made rushing around carrying gear. They’re made when you’re present for the moments that matter.
